As Kate Middleton recovers from her recent abdominal surgery at home, the internet is growing impatient for her return to royal duty.
Despite the palace providing health updates along the way and an even approximate date as to when we can expect to see the Princess of Wales again, people are still speculating that something more is going on behind the scenes. And the social media conspiracy theories (she's growing out her bangs, joined the Princess Protection Program, or is simply just missing) were further fueled by Prince William canceling a royal engagement earlier this week for "personal reasons."
However, a rep for Middleton is officially setting the record straight. “Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates,” her rep told Page Six exclusively on Thursday. “That guidance stands.” The spokesperson reiterated that the princess is "doing well."

Kate was last photographed on Christmas Day ahead of her January 16 surgery and isn't expected to step out again until after Easter, which falls on March 31 this year.
This isn't the first time the palace has had to debunk wild internet theories concerning Kate's health. Last month, it was falsely reported by Spanish journalist Concha Calleja that Kate had to be placed in a medically induced coma during her recovery period because of complications. However, a source from the palace told People that the claims were "total nonsense."
"No attempt was made by that journalist to fact-check anything that she said with anyone in the household," the insider said. "It’s fundamentally, totally made-up, and I’ll use polite English here: it’s absolutely not the case."
